I have 15 chickens (all hens). 8 Warrens that I bought from a battery farm in May 2001 and 7 Rhode Island Reds which I rescued. They were being kept in about 10 inches of mud and when I got them home it took me 5 hours to clean them.

Unfortunately I lost one very weak one after about 4 weeks.

I also have one duck which was a rescue.
She has angel wing but is very happy living with the chickens.
Its name is Quacks.

I also had 8 Bantams which lived in a separate home. If you would like to see them click the picture above.

I sadly lost all of my chickens except 2
1 warren & 1 Rhode island red
To a fox he got in & killed 16 took 5 with him
& scattered all my other hens around the garden.
Thankfully he did not get the ducks
However he did bite quacks in the neck it is a miracle he didn’t kill her

I am planning on rescuing some more hens from a battery farm
You might think this is a bit soon after the fox but these hens are going to be slaughtered and dumped in a landfill site
So they have a chance with me But no chance if I leave them
